The prize was the biggest Oz Lotto jackpot in over a decade, only topped by a few Powerball draws in recent years.
According to lottery organisers, the woman from Elizabeth Hills is the biggest individual winner in the draw’s history.
The winning numbers were 3, 34, 35, 26, 44, 39, and 36 and the supplementary numbers were 5, 45, and 6.
The winner said this life-changing win means she can afford to cut back on work and finally realise the dream of owning her own home.
“I love my job, but I won’t need to work seven days a week anymore, it’s actually really nice to think that I won’t need to work,” the winner said.
“I’ll finally be able to buy a place of my own. It’s so exciting.”
“I’ll start treating myself more. I’ll go on some holidays.”
The Lott spokesperson, Khat McIntyre, said that “It’s hard to put into words what it’s like to tell someone they’ve won a multimillion-dollar prize.”
Lottery organisers estimated that about a third of Australian adults bought a ticket prior to the draw.
Along with the single division one winner, over 1.8 million people scored prizes across divisions two to seven, sharing a massive $42 million in prize money.
