A 66-year-old woman from the Ararat region has been found guilty on 54 charges of animal cruelty.
Inspectors seized more than 100 horses and ponies from her property back in 2016 due to serious concerns for their welfare.
The woman has been hit with a $20,000 fine and banned from owning horses.

She had previously been found guilty of similar charges in both Victoria and NSW.
