Officers from the Viper Taskforce charged a member of the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) this morning after locating drugs and weapons during a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) search.
Members of the taskforce had been at the Ballarat property executing the FPO search on a Ballarat man, who is believed to be a chapter president of the Nomads OMCG.

They subsequently seized a quantity of what appears to be cocaine, and three prohibited weapons – a pair of knuckle dusters and two edged weapons.
The 32-year-old Ballarat man was charged with possess trafficable quantity drug of dependence, three counts of possess prohibited weapon and breach of bail.
He will appear at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court today.
