Councillor Tracey Hargreaves has been selected as the new mayor of Ballarat.
At a Town Hall ceremony last night, Ballarat’s new group of councillors for the 2024 to 2028 council term were sworn in.
Councillor Ben Taylor was also elected deputy mayor.

The newsroom understands Ms. Hargreaves was the only councillor who nominated for the mayoral position and was elected unopposed.
Serving her second term as councillor, Ms. Hargreaves will serve as Ballarat’s mayor for the first time.
