Strong winds in Ballarat this morning led to a nasty discovery for an unlucky resident.
A tree fell onto a Toyota SUV in Chisholm Street in Soldiers Hill, smashing the windscreen and blocking half the road.
Emergency crews were dispatched to remove the branches.

This morning, winds have reached speeds of up to 44 kilometres an hour in the city.
