Ballarat tourism operators have been recognized for their achievements at the prestigious Victorian Tourism Awards last night.
The Sovereign Hill Museums Association took out the Excellence in Accessible Tourism award for their work addressing mobility, sensory and psychosocial barriers to their experiences.
The association also won the Outstanding Contribution by Volunteers award, celebrating the work of over 200 volunteers who contribute over 35,000 collective hours to the museum annually.
In the major tourist attractions category, Ballarat Wildlife Park took out the silver trophy, whilst the Goods Shed Events Hall won bronze in the business event venues category.
At the awards this year, there were 97 finalists across 27 business categories.
