A 32-year-old Sebastopol man has been arrested following an arson attack at a Mildura tobacco store.
Emergency services were called early Tuesday morning after reports a vehicle had rammed the front window of the business.
The people inside the vehicle allegedly poured accelerant inside the building and set the store alight, then fled the scene.
No-one was inside the building at the time of the attack, with the store sustaining serious damages.
Detectives from the Arson and Explosive Squad arrested the man and a 23-year-old Flemington woman yesterday, and they will now be interviewed by police over a number of criminal offences.
Police urge anyone with information on criminal activity linked to illicit tobacco to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
