A ground search has resumed for a missing Ballarat East woman.
Samantha Murphy was last seen leaving her Eureka Street home at around 7am on Sunday, to go for a run in the Canadian State Forest.
Yesterday, local residents assisted police, SES and CFA volunteers as they searched for the 51-year-old in bushland near Buninyong, but she remains missing.
Local police and the Search and Rescue Squad will continue its investigations within the state forest area today, supported by officers from the Dog Squad, Mounted Branch, Solo Unit and Air Wing.
Members of the SES, Forest Fire Management Victoria and Parks Victoria will also be involved in the search.
Police will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Samantha’s disappearance and are following up any information and reports of sightings from the public.
