The boss of the Department of Transport and Planning for the Grampians and Geelong regions says it’s a miracle no one was killed in a two-truck accident on the Western Freeway.
Last week, a B-Double collided with a Transport Management Vehicle near Miners Rest, whilst workers were still on the road.
Michael Bailey says he believes the safety features built into the Department’s truck saved lives.

Police investigations into the crash are continuing.
