Ballarat high jump star Yual Reath has returned home as the ninth highest ranked jumper in the world after the Olympics.

He cleared 2 metre’s 20 in Paris, well under his personal best of 2 metre’s 30.

New Zealand’s Hamish Kerr took out first place with a height of 2 metre’s 27.

It was Yual’s first time at the games and he says he’s got plenty more to give.

“It was understandable after injuries and I’ve been able to properly train on my technique throughout the past two, three weeks,” he said.

“We were just going there for the experience and we’re just giving them just a tease.”
