Ballot packs for local council elections will start hitting Ballarat and district letter boxes from Monday.
Your postal vote must be returned to the VEC by Friday 1st November.
This term Ballarat is converting to nine single councillor wards from the current model of three councillors each in three wards.
New faces are guaranteed at Ballarat Town Hall with Daniel Moloney and Peter Eddy not seeking re-election and Samantha McIntosh going head-to-head with Belinda Coates in Central Ward.
In total there are 38 candidates competing for just nine councillor positions, with eight being the most in the Golden Point Ward.
Sebastopol has just the two candidates including Ballarat’s most recent mayor, Des Hudson.
The results of the election will be known by November 15.
