Renovations at Her Majesty’s Theatre are set to be completed by September.
Chair of the Her Majesty’s Theatre board, Daniel Moloney, says they’re nearly finished installing a brand-new bar and ticket box area, but a few final touches are needing over the next month.
With the venue celebrating 150 years in 2024, he says there’s a few secrets up their sleeve.
“We are hoping to kick off the reopening of Her Majesty’s Theatre in late November with a bit of a bang,” he said.
“It’s [the theatre’s] 150th birthday, it has been a significant part of Lydiard Street and Ballarat for generations and we’re looking forward to seeing the old lady back.”
Earlier this week, Marcia Hines, Cosentino and Daryl Braithwaite were announced as the first shows back at the upgraded theatre.
