Creswick-based music festival Cresfest has been announced as a finalist for the second time in the Australian Folk Music Awards.
Festival Director Judy Turner says the nomination comes following a suite of initiatives this year, including conversations, workshops and even the lighting up of buildings in the town.
“It’s great for a small-town venture like ours to be recognised on a national stage, there’s no doubt about it,” she said.
“We’re just thrilled to be up there beside the best projects in the country, and to have people talking about us.”
The winners will be announced on October 25, with the festival set to return on the 5th of April next year.
