Hepburn Shire Council have addressed speculation The Block was to make Daylesford its home for the next season.
The Herald Sun reported crews had pinned its hopes on securing a Raglan Street site, but allegedly pulled the pin after delays in getting planning permit approval and objections from some locals.
In a statement, the council said they’re considering plans for the construction of five homes at 1 Raglan Street in Daylesford, submitted in mid-July.
A planning permit for the subdivision was approved in April with 86 conditions.
They say whilst the site has never been officially announced by Channel Nine as the site of the Block, it’s understood the show had involvement in a construction application.
The council says they’re looking forward to understanding the benefits the show may bring to the Shire, and they’re still interested in having those conversations.
