The Ballarat Swans have announced Chris Maple will step down as the clubs senior coach at the end of this BFNL season.
In a statement on their Facebook page, the Swans said while they’re disappointed to lose Chris from the role, he will continue with Ballarat in a new role next year focusing on supporting their junior coaching group and junior players.
Chris joined the team after a stint at the Western Bulldogs, where he helped expand the club’s development program.
In 2013, he was named the AFL Development Coach of the Year.
Chris also led the Footscray Bulldogs to the 2014 VFL premiership in their first year back in the state league.
The Ballarat Swans are still pursuing potential coaches.
