The Member for Western Victoria has called on the state’s Police Minister to address the anti-social behaviour at Ballarat’s White Flat Oval.

More homeless residents have started living at the site, with Joe McCracken saying locals are turning away from the oval following a pattern of disturbing behaviour.

These include reports of threats to players with disabilities and faeces left by club rooms.

Mr. McCracken says he’s invited the Minister to inspect the site, and he hopes he takes up the offer.

“We’ve got to come together [and] make sure this is actually resolved so that everyone can benefit out of this,” he said.

“I don’t want to see anyone put in harm’s way, I don’t want anyone exposed to any anti-social behaviour or any negativity like that, I just want to see the issue resolved as quickly as possible and that’s why I raised it in parliament.”

Victorian Police Minister, Anthony Carbines, has been contacted for comment.
