Busy morning for Ballarat’s emergency services

It’s been a busy Friday morning for Ballarat police and ambulance crews.

At around 6am, emergency services were called to a crash in Ballarat Central.

It’s believed two vehicles collided before one struck a traffic light pole at the intersection of Mair Street and Peel Street.

A 67-year-old Mount Egerton man and a 28-year-old Golden Point woman were assessed at the scene by paramedics but escaped injury.

The woman was reported for failing to obey a traffic signal.

Police are also continuing their investigations into a two-car crash in Sebastopol at around 7:30am.

It’s believed a 24-year-old man driving a Ford Territory was travelling along Albert Street when he collided with a silver SUV.

The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, whilst the 62-year-old SUV driver was not injured.
