Ballarat’s community meals program ‘BreezeWay’ is celebrating a special milestone in 2023.
The initiative of Uniting has clocked up 25 years of serving Ballarat’s most vulnerable.
Warrick Davison, Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Support with Uniting says demand is still high.

“People in the community are really starting to feel the pinch so we are seeing more and more people coming in to use our meals service.”
“They might have an unexpected bill or things that come in, so they come in for a period of time to touch base with us, get some support, get a hot meal, and it might just alleviate their budget a little bit,” Mr. Davison said.
BreezeWay celebrated the anniversary with an afternoon tea for volunteers this afternoon.
