Hackers may have accessed recorded Ballarat court hearings, dating as far back as 2016.
In December, Court Services Victoria were made aware of an incident where there was unauthorized access to their in-court audio visual network and recordings of some hearings between November 1st and December 21st may have been accessed.
It’s now been confirmed the recordings of some court hearings prior to November 1st may also have been accessed, including Supreme Court matters in Ballarat in April 2016.

Court Services Victoria say they remain sincerely apologetic for the distress this may cause people who’ve been part of hearings during the timeframe.
They say they’re committed to providing support to impacted people that require assistance.
