Some of the country’s best young badminton players will converge on Ballarat from later this week.
The Yonex U13/U17 Australian National Team and Individual championships are set to be contested at the Ken Kay Stadium in Wendouree.
The first three days of competition will be for teams before the individual championships from Sunday.
Making the week even more special the U13 players will also be in contention to be awarded the inaugural Rhonda Cator Sportsperson Trophy, in recognition of Ballarat Badminton Association stalwart Rhonda Cator who has been involved with the sport for decades as a player, coach and manager.
Victoria is the reigning champion in the U13 teams competition.
