Ballarat council is calling on locals to thank an inspirational elder, by nominating them in the 2023 Ballarat Senior of the Year Awards.
The awards recognise Ballarat residents 55 years and older who give their time and efforts back to the community.
This year, there are five award categories that focus on an area of interest, such as volunteering, active living and diversity, as well as the overall Senior of the Year Award.
