In a signing coup for the Miners a Bendigo Braves star is making his way to Ballarat for the NBL1 South season.
201cm American ‘swingman’ Andrew Robinson will make the move to Selkirk Stadium after averaging nearly 17 points a game for the Braves.
Prior to the 28-year-olds professional career, which has seen him play in Japan, Portugal, and the USA before his stint in Australia, Andrew had a distinguished collegiate journey.
He began at Quinnipiac University, where he played three seasons, earning MAAC All-Academic Team honors and being recognised as an Academic All America nominee during the 2017-18 season.
He then transferred to Coppin State University for the 2019-20 season.
“I’m excited to get to Ballarat and compete for a championship this season,” Robinson said.
“I’m looking forward to becoming a part of the community, meeting the fans, competing alongside my teammates, and leaving it all on the floor every game.”
There’ll be no love lost when the two teams meet to start the season in Ballarat on March 29th.
