In a boost for female footy in the region the Greater Western Victoria Rebels have appointed a standalone girls coach.
Thanks to a cash boost from the AFL, Sally Riley will be full time in the role.

Sally, who plays netball for Buninyong, was part of the first ever AFLW premiership winning team with the Adelaide Crows back in 2017.
David Loader will continue with the Rebels as head coach of the boys’ program.

For the first time, all regional pathways programs participating in the NAB League in Victoria and Tasmania will have a dedicated full-time coach for each of their boys and girls teams in 2023.
