The accused killer of Ballarat mum Samantha Murphy can now be named.
22-year-old Patrick Orren Stephenson was arrested on Wednesday, after a month-long investigation into the disappearance of Ms. Murphy.
Mr. Stephenson is from the Ballarat region and is the son of ex-AFL player Orren Stephenson.

A temporary suppression order prevented the man’s name being published but was lifted after a challenge in the courts by several media outlets.
He has been remanded in custody until his next court hearing in August.
