A child from Winter Valley has died following a fatal crash in Lucas on Saturday night.
It’s believed a Mazda sedan collided with a Toyota Prado on Carngham Road, near Finch’s Road, just after 7pm.
The 6-year-old died at the scene.
Another 13-year-old passenger in the Mazda was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both the 41-year-old Mazda driver and the 78-year-old Toyota driver were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The fatal crash comes just days after a motorcyclist died in a collision at Mannibadar, west of Ballarat.
The state’s road toll stands at 176, compared to the 175 lives lost on the roads at the same time last year.
