Former Ballarat East cricketing product Matt Short has been named the second-best player in the Australian squad, following the T20 series against England.
Short scored 69 runs at an impressive strike rate of 138.
The versatile Victorian also claimed a five-wicket haul in Cardiff, finishing with the third-best bowling figures by an Australian.
