The City of Ballarat is on the lookout for suitable contractors to help take care of the city’s vast array of public art.
There’s more than 120 pieces placed throughout Ballarat in what council describes as an outdoor gallery, with a value of more than $20 million.
“They are beautiful objects, and they’ve got to be looked after, and it does make Ballarat what it is,” said Cr. Mark Harris.
Tenders are currently open for the Peterson Fountain, Queen Victoria Memorial Statue, the George Tonner Memorial and ‘Home’ at Doug Dean Reserve which is partially submerged in water.
