Following an urgent funding plea by organisers last week, Ballarat’s Carols by Candlelight will go ahead this year.
A number of local businesses and organisations have come on as event partners, including Sixt, the ACU and Haymes Paint making up a $20,000 shortfall.
“We are really thrilled, not only did we meet our target, but we got a real sense of just how much this event does mean to the community of Ballarat,” said Carols secretary Carolyn Bennett.

The free event will be held on the 22nd of December at Mars Stadium.
