A piece of Ballarat’s original media landscape has hit the market with a ‘for sale’ sign up at 207 Walker Street in Ballarat North.
The site, which is almost 21,000 square metres in size, is the former home of television station BTV6 which first went to air in 1962 and later changed its name to VIC TV then WIN TV.
At this stage, 8 blocks are for sale ranging from 543 to 760m2 fronting both Walker and Simpson Streets.

The sites developer says a decision on whether the old TV studios will remain or be demolished is still to be made.
WIN relocated its news service from Ballarat to Wollongong in 2016 with advertising staff moving out of the building recently.
