Union members on Ballarat council will stop work for an hour on Thursday, as a pay dispute continues.
Members of the service union, including waste collection drivers, early childhood workers and parking officers will gather outside Ballarat Town Hall at 10:30am.
Garbage trucks and other vehicles will also be parked in Sturt Street.
It’s understood next week, council will put their enterprise agreement with a 3.5 per cent wage rise to a vote, a deal the union has strongly fought against.
A Fair Work hearing to discuss the bargaining dispute is also scheduled for tomorrow morning, with further work stoppages on the cards.
Over the last week and a half, union members have taken a wide array of industrial action, from protests during the official Ballarat Library reopening to waste collection driver strikes.
