Early designs for Ballarat Station upgrades have been revealed by the State Government.
The $50 million plans include improving the stations northern entry with a new ramp and stairs and installing a pedestrian overpass with a lift and stairs to both platforms.
The upgrades will help improve accessibility for those with a disability and passengers with prams and luggage, as well as keeping with the precinct’s heritage.
The work is building on the upgrades to the Ballarat railway line.
Preliminary engineering and geotechnical work have been completed, with the designs now open for community feedback via an online survey.
Construction is set to start next year, with the upgrades on track to be completed in 2026.
