A Ballarat hotel has been celebrated at the latest Australian Hotels Association State Awards for Excellence.
Oscars Hotel and Cafe Bar was named the best hotel for pub style accommodation at the awards on Monday night.
Two local hotels were nominated in other categories including Ballarat’s Western Hotel in the Regional Hotel of the Year category, Best Regional Pub Bar category, Best Regional Outdoor Experience category and Parma of the Year category.

Meredith Hotel was also nominated in the Best Regional Pub Restaurant category.
Another hotel in the Goldfields region, the Rising Sun Hotel in Bendigo, won the prestigious title of the Nikakis Benchmark Award for 2024.
