With winter just over a week away, the SES is warning residents of flood prone towns Clunes and Creswick to be prepared.
In January of 2022, floods hit Creswick in particular, causing damage to properties and power blackouts.
A community information session on flooding will be held tonight from 6pm at the American Hotel in Creswick.
Community Resilience Coordinator from the Ballarat SES, Jane Patton, says rainfall is forecast to increase across the colder months.
“It’s important for us to reach out to our community members and to prepare them and give them the right information where need be in case of an emergency and flood water,” she said.
