Ballarat’s Matt Short has capped off an amazing 12 months, being crowned the Big Bash League’s Player of the Tournament.
Matt is the third player to win the award in consecutive seasons, following in the footsteps of Chris Lynn and D’Arcy Short.
The Adelaide Strikers skipper scored the most runs of the season with 541, nearly 200 runs more than runner up Josh Brown from the Brisbane Heat.

Last month, the East Ballarat Cricket Club export made BBL history after scoring the highest number of runs in a 10-match regular BBL season.
