After a serious crash at Bunkers Hill yesterday, Ballarat police have issued a timely reminder for locals to focus while driving on rural roads.
Five people were taken to hospital after a two-car collision, with distraction believed to have possibly contributed to the crash.
Acting Inspector, Lisa MacDougall, is urging motorists to not lose their concentration on those minor roads.
“Perhaps there’s a little bit of complacency with people that live in the area when you’re driving those roads every day, but the risk is always there,” she said.
“We just urge that everyone has that focus, because you’re not ever sure of what risks you might face when you’re driving on those roads.”
