The best and worst places to ride a bike in Ballarat have now been revealed.
The Amy Gillett Foundation and Crowdspot yesterday released the interim results of Bikespot, the country’s largest crowd-sourced cycling safety project.
The Sturt Street off-road bike path was highlighted for its safety, whilst the Sturt and Dawson Street intersection was found as dangerous for riders, as there’s no direct crossing for the bike path.
The Cameron and Grant Street intersection was also found to be dangerous, along with the Webster Street and Creswick Road roundabout due to the speed of traffic and lack of bike lanes.
