A 66-year-old man has been charged following the fatal crash at Daylesford last month that left five people dead.
On November 5th, emergency crews were called to the beer garden of a Vincent Street hotel, after reports of an SUV mounting the kerb and hitting a number of patrons.
A 38-year-old Tarneit man and his 11-year-old son died at the scene, along with a 30-year-old man from Point Cook, his 44-year-old partner and nine-year-old daughter.
Five people were also taken to hospital but have since been released.
The driver from Mount Macedon was charged this morning with five counts of culpable driving causing death, two counts of negligently causing serious injury and seven counts of reckless conduct endangering life.
He is expected to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
