A new report has classed rentals in Daylesford and surrounding areas as unaffordable.
The latest Rental Affordability Index by National Shelter and SGS Economics and Planning found the town’s renters are spending 30 to 38 per cent of their income on rent.
This is in contrast to the majority of Ballarat renters, who are spending between 25 to 30 per cent.

Only three postcodes in the state have rentals considered ‘affordable’, them being Nhill, Numurkah and Kerang.
