Falling trees cause four car pile-up at Sailors Falls

Ballarat SES crews have been busy this morning, as wind gusts in the city reached over 60 kilometres an hour.

The local brigade received four requests for assistance since midnight, all due to trees across roads – with a common hotspot the Midland Highway, south of Buninyong.

Near Daylesford, the falling trees caused havoc with drivers, with paramedics responding to a four-car crash into a tree at Sailors Falls just after 7am.

Four people were assessed by ambulance crews, who were reportedly in a stable condition.
