Australia Post has officially opened its new parcel delivery centre in Ballarat today.
Replacing temporary centre’s at Bakery Hill and Wendouree, the new facility will assist in improving turnaround times and process more than 8,000 parcels a day – and during peak periods 20,000 parcels a day.
160 Australia Post staff will be accommodated in the new building.

A spokesperson from the organisation says data indicates four in five Ballarat households are shopping online, with parcel delivery volumes increasing by 80 per cent over the past three years.
