One man is in hospital and another lucky to be uninjured after a car ploughed through the front door of a Ballarat hotel.
A white wagon is said to have been travelling through the service road in Victoria Street towards McDonalds Bakery Hill, when the male driver failed to stop before rear-ending a parked ute – sending it careening into the Munster Arms Hotel on Victoria Street.
Both cars have been written off.
The driver of the wagon was taken to Ballarat Base Hospital, condition is not known a this time.
Owner of the ute Ross, who was in the Hotel at the time, watched in shock as his car was pushed into the Hotel.
“He just come down and collected my car and it went through all the glass petitions and pushed my car into the pub.”
Ross was uninjured in the accident.
