The results from the weekend’s ‘Operation Furlong’ are in and it appears Ballarat residents were trying to get places fast.
26 speeding offences were recorded over the five days taking in the Cup Day Public Holiday, while the next major offences were 4 drink drivers and 9 unregistered vehicles.

In all 54 infringements were recorded by Ballarat Police with 76 in the Moorabool Shire.
